The route to success
The truth is, I envision college as the perfect storm; it could hit you at the right or wrong time in life. With countless things going on in the spectacular world of college, the key to success depends on me. Through being open to new opportunities, challenging myself to become more social and taking new steps towards my future, attending college will be not only the best days of my life but also the blueprint for my future.
Opening up to new opportunities will be the most experiencing part of my college career. I intend on accepting these opportunities by joining clubs, athletic teams, and taking classes that will further increase my intellect as well as open my mind to new ideas. Taking classes that will allow me to learn new languages such as French and even getting to pick the human brain in the studies of psychology, will not only allow me to gain new information but will be valuable in different frames of my life. This value may be substantial when taking a vacation to France or possibly entering the field of sports psychology. Joining a team or organization is also a great way for me to learn how to be held accountable as well as helping me to develop better leadership and team building skills. The best part of this is that it will enable me to meet new people and gain more of a social life.
I believe being social is what truly makes the enjoyment of college. Therefore I will challenge myself to step outside of my comfort zone to become more social. Through getting over my anti-social ways, I will be able to meet people who could potentially become life long friends. Being social would also be the perfect way to get invited into more social groups, attend social events such as parties or as simple as learning new places to travel or try new things. The most beneficial part of being social is that it may very well connect me to people who can be helpful with planning my way to success.
The best way to reach success is to prepare for it. When preparing for success, I will incorporate things into my daily life that future employers will marvel upon when searching for a candidate. The future career I will pursue is coaching. I will look into being part of an internship to gain valuable experience employers would believe to be necessary. I have always had the passion to coach, and in college becoming a graduate assistant is a perfect way to meet others, share ideas, and gain more “in field” experience. Being in programs such as kinesiology and health, as I currently am, will furthermore help me to understand my future goals and give me a better understanding of what to expect.
By sticking to this mission statement, I will indeed prove to reach my goals. As I go through college, opening up to new opportunities will not only be a great experience, but it will allow me to take the chance of becoming more social, making my college experience a blast and a time to remember. Becoming more social will play a vital role when meeting new people to help shape my life for the future, as well as gaining new friends and possibilities. When I take the initiative and set up for my future, it will open doors and take me places I could only imagine. Through these promises to myself, the college will not only be the best time of my life but the keys to my future.
